OK then everyone, bought a fiat 500 sport 2013 to sell noticed 1st 2nd gears were noisy, 100 ml round trip guy said I thought it was normal, yea right, anyway got 400 quid off, thinking 250 ebay box, pal will swop them 250,ok 100 out so far, anyway 3weeks messing me around, I took the box out axle stands most of the day, took it to a gearbox specialist shop, 260 cih, collected it yesterday, 6 hr later after struggling it was in a state to try new clutch,, no water no oil in box, wanted a few seconds to go through the motions clutch felt fine, but wheels not turning, brake on, in gear, nothing so
 
Did you try the friction plate on the gearbox input shaft spines to check fit before assembling?

Did the box slide straight up to engine without having to pull it up using bolts?

Didn't try plate on spigot shaft, was a cow to get in laying on the floor, but you can feel the clutch working, hear a whirring through the gears, but not transmiting it to the wheels, yes used bolts the get the last qrt inch in, sachs clutch,,,

Search the following using forum search function ....... Clutch Problem after change - Does not disengage
