Hi All, just bought a 2015 Ducato 3.0. Few issues need fixing, bought vehicle under the guise of all running correctly but when it turned up it has issues.

Firstly injector 4 (yes most awkward positioned one) part number 0445116 059 I believe (anyone got a working set for sale?) needs replacing but is stuck inside, has anyone had this on this engine? my research is telling me the scuttle panel is the cause, however I need to get this injector (possibly all of them) out and replaced first.

Which tools to extract this have you all tried or recommend please? I can't see it as being a simple puller type as the seller already tried to remove it so must be well stuck. I was thinking of purchasing the Pneumatic type extractor?

Its showing up a couple of fault codes (P0046, P0271(inject 4), P0204(inject4), P2563) but want to get this injector issue ticked off first.

Also should this engine have some sort of cover over it to protect from water ingress to injectors as mine hasn't got one.
Thanks

Also found a hole in what looks to be some sort of vacuum hose? (pic attached) which I fixed, not sure if its related to one of the fault codes?

Yes a van dealer, When I went to see it it was all working, but got a call saying injector 4 is faulty, so thought they just scanned it, upon delivery discovered they had messed about with it trying to get it out but failed, it is a Disabled Minibus and has 43k miles on it

P2563 is the turbo actuator vacuum controlled on the 3.0? if so the split tube is probably the cause for this fault.

Sounds very iffy already.

Tell them to collect it and issue a full refund as it is not in the same condition as when you agreed to purchase.
Or ask them if they will refund the cost of a good garage to fix it -get everything in writing.

Do not do anything to it or you may forfeit your legal right to refund.

Find out your rights.

Find out how much an injector will cost and replacement of injector.

Thanks but after further research I have zero chance of getting a penny back, never seen a company with such bad feedback. I just have to get on with fixing it, hence request for info on suitable injector extraction tools for this engine.

I don't know what the spilt rubber cover is on but it does looked messed about with due to end of rubber tube not being cut square to the metal tube.

Well at least you know and have decided your way forward (-:
Plus the 3.0 is pretty good.

Good job with rubber tube fingers xed an easy win.

I can't advise about injector tools.

Perhaps reconnect injector, clear codes and see which codes return.
An open circuit code will set if injector unplugged and ignition turned on-easily set when investigating faults .

Look at getting Multi ecu scan software and an adapter cable - best option for talking to fiat ecu s.

This is 'exactly' as it came complete with mole grips! Can this injector be reconnected? It's missing its top.

Bank Transfer, been a big saga in the background but I've decided to move forward to fix it. Onwards and upwards as they say.

A very good plan would be a diesel specialist to remove the broken injector, fit a new injector and program the new injector to the engine ecu. It may also require a diesel feed pipe if old pipe bent out of shape plus repair to injector retainer thread hole if damaged and retainer if missing.plus new injector seal washer.

Replacing injector bit more than remove old one fit new one.

Though with correct software you can code the new injector to the ecu.

I have a good used replacement injector, got another feed pipe although original one is good, I have the bolt and clamp too.
Was planning on fitting this injector on and running it for a while with a plan to change all 4 in coming months.

Good you have sourced most of replacement parts.

You shouldn't have to replace all injectors after 43,000 miles .

Do get replacement coded to ecu after fitting.

Do not drop any dirt down injector hole into engine.
