Hi all

I'm a newbie to the fiat forum so thanks for letting me join 👍.
I have a 2009 3ltr Ducato automatic autosleeper with 22,409 on the clock. Today I went to take it for a Hab check before selling it due to heart problems. The van would not go into any gear and showed up as a transmission fault. Green flag came out and stated that it was a control unit failure which could be a defective solenoid or electrical issue. Fast forward, I've made about 30+ calls trying to get someone with knowledge of the fault, only to be directed to Motus Gloucester who told me that it would cost me £8500 for new flywheel and associated parts plus they couldn't look at it until January 2024 🫣. Can anyone recommend a Fiat specialist to in the Wiltshire and surrounding areas to please let me know what is the real problem and how much to repair it?

kind regards

tim

Hi Tim
My 2019 Ducato based motorhome experienced the same problem at 11,000 miles - dropping out of gear, no gear available etc. It is currently with Adams Morey in Southampton (The Causeway) and after a lot of testing they say it needs a new clutch and slave cylinder. They tell me that the plastic spring supports on the clutch plates crack which leads to the Comfortmatic gearbox malfunctioning. It is going to cost about £2,000 parts and labour to repair. Not nice! They do seem to know what they’re talking about so suggest you give them a call. They work on a lot of motorhomes.
