New phone line - broadband wanted

I've seen this mentioned by someone on here but after searching I cant for the life of me find it...

I've just had a new phone line put in yesterday, and now want to order broadband...but whenever I check availability with any of the ISPs it says my line isnt connected.

Someone had mentioned how long it takes for new numbers to show up on systems, can anyone else remember? I want to get off of this BT Fon network and be hard wired as soon as i can!

What do you mean? A brand new installation and completely new line with a new number?. If so it can take 72hrs+ to show up on the system when ordering broadband.

I'd highly recommend O2 or Be Unlimited if its ADSL your after.

Yup, brand new property and brand new line with a new number!

I'll start looking on Tuesday or Wednesday then. I'll be choosing between O2 and Plusnet me thinks, but cant find out if I can get O2 until my number shows up in their system.

There you can find out which ISPs have their equipment in the exchange (LLU). I 2nd o2.

Well since it looks like O2 dont have LLU in my exchange yet...I'll be going back to Plusnet me thinks!
