Now as much as I don't like ugly square boxes on wheels, that white Panda with the black bits is rather good looking. I would like to have come but it's Sri Lankan new year and I'm at a Buddist family day out. Don't tell me I'm not multi cultural lol

Thank you. (y)

Your taste is definitely improving - you now like 2 of my Panda's I believe, so the Rover's days are numbered!! ;)

Well, we made it despite all the problems along the way!

I'm a bit tired to give much more of an update tonight, but I hope those travelling back tonight all had a safe journey (and that Vernon & Barbara will tomorrow). I shot off leaving the others to load the transporter as I needed to get the car out & have been feeling a bit ropey - sorry for that! Fortunately Freddie (the 127 not panda1408 ) was happy to cruise down the busy M40 without making me work too hard - I promise he was happy when I got fed up & stuck my hoof down a bit (I got a nearly new Aston Martin to move out of the way from the outside lane at one point, which is no mean achievement for a 36 year old 127..... :D The Panda's inherited lots of 127 DNA, and the up'n'at em attitude too).

I'd like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped out. I hope I don't forget anyone but thanks to Vernon VmanC , Barbara Panda Mo , Freddy panda1408 & Dad Jon, John Freebo & Dad Neil, and Bob scout (who was a real star driving 300 miles on Thursday to help Vern!) :worship: If I've got any names wrong, that's stupidity, and I can only apologise..... ;)

Lastly thank you to Stephen homeward for the moral support - you were missed, and will be absolutely required to attend the November show (I hope you will be well enough then  ).

Safely home :D , I know Palio won't believe me but I was so tired I only managed 65mph on the motorway all the way home.

When I'm tired I stick the clog down as I concentrate much better (especially in an old car) when I go faster. Doubt that would go down as a valid reason in court, but it may have novelty value!! I'd probably get extra points but not in a nice way (y)

Actually I suppose it would get to the point where I'd go slowly, but I should have stopped if I was that tired I think!

Glad you're back ok (y)

I'm waivering but I like to accelerate at a decent speed and go over 69 mph occasionally so I think the Rovers safe. However the Punto CVT was an absolute joy today in traffic so I think that will be around for a few more years until I can afford the Jag

Maybe not so safe, as you like the white & black one!

69? No problem! And 80 (on a closed road officer) feels like warp speed in a panda :) they say something happens if you get to 88 miles an hour... Or am I getting mixed up with another giuguiaro creation?? :)

I just want to say how much both me and my dad enjoyed this weekend, had a really good time in some great company! I don't think we derserve too much credit though as all we did was turn up and spend all weekend talking about cars! It has to go to Vernon, Gavin and Bob for doing all the hard bits getting the cars there, set up and looking great. Not sure I could manage what you guys did as I'm still shattered now!

Don't put yourself down, there's very little point in going to all the effort if people don't turn up and see/benefit from it (y). I'm sure I saw you with a spanner in your hands at least once too :worship:. Obviously Vernon will have to redo what you did but your heart was in the right place :p

Now where are those mushrooms?

Now where are those mushrooms?

Magic, stone, or garlic? ;)

Exactly why I'm going no where near one:D

Where's that "chicken" smilie? Go on, double dare you! :tempt:

Careful or the next car will be a Metro GTI :p

No, no, no. Awful car. :shakehead: You want an original MG Metro (non turbo) - that was fun & quite classy with the red light district theme. (y)

Go on, I dare you

I've double dared now!! ;)
