Magic, stone, or garlic? ;)

Where's that "chicken" smilie? Go on, double dare you! :tempt:

No, no, no. Awful car. :shakehead: You want an original MG Metro (non turbo) - that was fun & quite classy with the red light district theme. (y)

I've double dared now!! ;)

A double dare, damn, damn, damn

Right who's going to lend me one (searches internet for trackday) I promise I'll look after it (searches internet for tank driving day) ;)

Track day - Castle Combe - look lower down this section or in the events. Should be Panda's there & hopefully Panto! too..... (y)

Offroading look in this section or speak to Andy (y)

Tank driving - presumably that's a Rover thing! :p Prove you can handle your tank, and we might lend you a Panda!!

Its one of the few cars that would survive an Essex driver :p (and before you say anything, my mother and her side of the family were from Chadwell Heath ;) )

Did you know Castle Combe is the only track you can walk all the way around. I had a nice day out there watching all the fast cars, Porsches, Ferraris, Caterhams, Rovers and Not a single Fiat, why was that as I'm sure the coupe would be good around the track

Phew! What a week that was, makes you wonder if it's all worth it! Then you have a great weekend with great people and know it most definitely is! :slayer:

Big thank you to everyone involved :worship:

Gavin our leader, there's no-one better to deal with red tape. (y)
Bob, for being always available with his all round skills and enthusiasm. (y)
Freddy/John-Jon?, John/Neil for helping with Pinky and being great company. John-Jon? in particular is my new best friend since he promised me I could drive his new Alfa 4C to Brooklands if it's delivered in time :worship: Oh, well he may not have exactly promised but I'm sure it won't be a problem ;).
Last but by no means least, Barbara, for her all round support and enthusiasm that allows me to indulge in all this crazy Panda stuff in the first place. (y)

What a team!!!

Just to recap and show a few pics...........

Here we are all loaded up and ready to go. The Pandas just fit, Panto's back wheels were so close to the back edge of the truck bed that we only just managed to wrestle the loading ramps out from under them. There was an inch of clearance between Pinky and Panto to start but once we got under way they jiggled together
End result was that a little white paint was rubbed off of Panto's front bumper so will have to be re-done.

This was the rear brake disc that caused collection of the truck to be delayed for a day and cost me 7 hours :bang: As you can see it decided to split itself in two!! Never seen anything like it before
Fortunately the truck owner really pulled through and had it repaired the next day :worship:

Few pics of the stand..........

The fenced off area in the last pic ended up full of Pinky's interior components. We found £1.53 under the carpet, a real boost to the project :p

Back at the Premier Inn once it's all over. As you can see we changed the order around to ensure no further damage was caused to Panto. Barbara had also joined the team with Bo, she had not been well all week so had an extra day at home and drove up on the Saturday afternoon.

Our stand was next to the live stage so we had to battle with this rabble for attention.
Not a clear pic because of the stage lighting but basically you have sat on the stools....

Mike Brewer (Wheeler Dealers)
Vicky Butler Henderson (Fifth gear)
Quentin Wilson (Originally top gear)
Ed China (Wheeler Dealers)
Chris Barry (Red Dwarf, Brittas Empire, General petrol head)

I really enjoyed this show, not as busy as the one in November but far more comfortable to walk round for that. Hopefully it was busy enough for the organisers to do it again next year. :slayer:

Some great photos there, I am so jealous!! As with most stuff this year due to funds and using most of my holidays from work on my honeymoon I wasnt able to make it, but I will try for next year!

Here are some of my photos

Ready to leave, don't look too closely at the rear of the truck, I followed that overhang most of the way to Brum.
