General My Stilo Irks me already!

As you say she panic'd, ABS in the wet would not have stopped her quicker, she would have still been wearing the back of your car regardless.

I think the biggest travesty on the Stilo is a tape player - all models should have a CD player!

I think we'll have to agree to diagree on the ABS What definitely would have worked best is if she had been looking where she was f****** going - I sat there for about 5 seconds watching her in the mirror thinking 'shes not slowing down...shes gonna change lanes....she not gonna stop...ohhh....<<BANG>>....f***!!!"

As for the CD player, they should have one that can rememeber which track it was playing when you turned the ignition off. Whats the point of me trying to play an MP3 when I never get past the first album [!]

My CD changer i've just fitted remembers which track it was playing after i've switched it off! Well i think it does anyway, i'll know for certain if tonight it plays the free CD from the Daily Record, track 10 if i remember correctly! I'll keep you informed!

which CD changer did you fit? was it the Fiat supplied one or an after market one? The reason I ask is that I thought only Fiat ones work. Also what did you pay and where did you fit the changer? [?]

Fitted a genuine Fiat Blaupunkt 5 disc changer - the one off ebay remember!

Works a treat! Yep it remembers the CD and track and position on the track when i turn the stereo off.

Unfortunately its not the changer that remembers this, its the head unit. On the Abarth the SatNav+ doesn't do this - lots of people have complained about in this forum - its not high on Fiats priority list apparently!

More powerfull cars having TC ... it's logical ... more power, easy to drive over limits, easy to make an accident so somebody must help you control the monster. anyway all the cars should have it but as i read in previous post ... it's excluded in some of the models ONLY for making the car cheaper.
