My new car?!

French cars are rubbish, end of story! Ok they have made some good designs and characterful cars, but, their engineering is crap. I would never own one, my mate works on them and also despises them. Also my MOT station specialise in Froggie cars... why... in their words, they break down more and need most repairs, hence we make more money!!! BTW, the C4 does look cool tho!

I'm not a French car lover by any means, I do have 2 Italian cars with all their foibles after all, but no one can deny that they have made some truly great accessible car's over the years, Peugeot 205 GTi, 205T16, 306 GTi-6, 106 Rallye Mark 1, 106 GTi, Renault 5 Turbo & Turbo 2 + Maxi Turbo, 5 GT Turbo, Clio Williams, 172 Cup Sport, 182 Cup Sport, Clio V6 MK2, Citroen DS, Pallas turbo (gti)? but you can easily think of a handful of good cars from every nation with at least a hundred duds! :D

Only french car I like was the Citroen SM but this was only becuase they used a Maserati engine to enable the hydropneumatic suspension to win or maybe just compete in rallies.

For the record almost all Fiats (for the european market at least) are built in Italy including all puntos (two seperate plants), Ideas, Multiplas and Stilos.

As you know the Ulysses are built on the C8/807 PSA line in France, and the new Pandas are built in Poland on the old Seicento line, where production (I hear) is at capacity prompting a Fiat headache as to where the new 500/Trepelino will be built. The Punto lines in Italy are also full owing to preperations for the new Croma and plant closures in the last few years.

Excellent news, but I think you'll find the plane already has Sat Nav :).

On form Andy :D :D

Shut up Steve and be happy for me for once!

Cheers Joe :) I am so happy, the deal I will be getting is fantastic. Only problem is I can't keep it in Manc, it will be broken into :(

Thinking about it, you now have a French car and your first trip is to France, your asking to be kicked off this fine Italian car forum. I think we have a traitor amongst us !!!.

you gonna lose £200 profit so you can find luton airport  cheeper to get a cab :)

I will be flying on an American plane though? Surely that makes it ok? What am I saying?!

I would even drive a Malaysian car I reckon if it got me back on the road......

I am picturing my sat nav in the car and wondering if i should or I shouldn't.

Steve, think about it, one fewer bike on the road?!

Dave, thanks for making me see sense, it's just so silver and pretty and cool. I like buttons and even the laguna lacks enough buttons for me.

You don't need SatNav to get to Luton Airport - a quick blat down the M1, turn off at the junction whatever [it is signposted ;)] - left at roundabout - bear right at next one, then at the next one, and voila :)

I know but.....but......but.....my gf is useless with maps and I erm....like to go the scenic route always..........

I WANT THE PRETTY SILVER THING.

Don't be so sure. I was in Denmark a couple of weeks ago and after arriving at Copenhagen I asked the driver to take me to a suburb of the city where I had a meeting. Anyway after about 20 minutes driving, he hands me the City A to Z and asks me in sign language to find the place and give him instructions. Unfortunately he can't understand English so I am pointing to turn right, however as he is looking in the mirror he got a bit confused and turned left onto the motorway. After another 10 minutes we are really lost. He then has the bright idea of catching up with another taxi on the motorway and holding up a bit of paper against the window with the address to see if the other driver knows where it is. Unfortunately the writing was too small, so the other taxi moved over until they are touching wing mirrors to read it. This was at 60mph so I was getting a little concerned.

The other driver then gives us the thumbs up and we head off in convoy at about 95mph. It cost me about £55.00 in the end. On the way back to the airport I got a decent driver and it only took 15 minutes and cost £35.00.

So if your in Denmark, don't take a cab without asking if they know where they are going.

It also helps if you head in the direction of where the planes are flying really low as it is likely to be where the airport is.
