General My Doblo Died: Scrapping

My 06 Doblo died as the Timing chain failed. It's otherwise a great little motor, really well looked after. I bought it 18 m ago with 33222 miles, and have done about 40,000 miles since then!

Is it of interest to anyone for spares and parts? It has the extra row of seats and the roof racks....

they apparently are repairable for @£300, where is the car based..??

It is going to cost about 2k to fix: not worth it!

It is a complete failure with extensive engine damage. My mechanic has had an inspection, he is my Best Man and best mate so I know he is on the case

OK,
they are designed to the top-end is weak, so the main internals are untouched..
but it sounds like a replacement engine would be required..

where is the car based..??

Yea normally just snaps the rockers £300-£400, was it ratttling at cold start?
