tried that and nothing....got a vacuum off another car and revved it right up and tried blowing though it and nothing so i guessing it seized shut.....id imagine it wouldnt need alot of vacuum pressure to open it so new ones in order anyone got any ideas wherei can get one cheap......

breakers

leave any parts you have off in kerosene overnight
add 5l of petrol and 10 mls of kerosene to tank

my SPI runs on kerosene or gums up its injector 10 mls per full tank it is Redex without the red dye if you don't have any Barbie lighter

it only gets used intermittently after a few months there is a greater risk of gum so it is simple to add Redex or Barbie lighter...

if the compression ratio was higher id not do it.

but the 5l and 10 ml should clean out any gum after a lay up

and my TB internals look like new after 90k in the past carbs used to be covered in goo but never bothered to clean them or add kerosene to petrol cept for SU pistons which sometimes got sticky think that was on grit

Its not letting any fuel into the outer part of the rail it gets to the regulator and stops as its seized i as the regulator opens with a vacuum off the inlet manifold i tried another vacuum off a running engine to see if itl open! And it hasnt opened thus not letting the fuel past and not letting the engine start

Will soak it in kerosene or similar

If not il get another one

the normal scheme is the fuel gets to the injector and then goes to a blow off valve that returns petrol in excess to tank...

if you interchanged the feed and return it won't work...

She runs! All be it rough but she runs!

The regulator is the problem as i have to cover the tb in order for it to fire up so theres enough vacuum to open my "stiff" regulator think its mis firing but im happy i can put all the wiring away and leave it at that lol

Clutch end is a big one inside a removable casting, but sump has to come off. You could try careful prising by tapping and piercing the outer part with a small flat screw driver at different points.

So im back!

have been really busy at the moment with the work car what not
and havent really been on here

update as follows!

the car runs! on all 4 cylinders this time (was down to dodgy injector loom connector)

a slight tidy up

and more body work!

so the wiring is complete just needs tidying up
dash is back in and all interior
the cambox got a lick of paint in red

slam panel has been modified to suit the original manifold(later 16v)

tigersealed mounts (NO engine rock at all!)

a full service

most of the dinks are cleaned up and the seicento spoiler has been smoothed into bootlid

now its just the painting and bolt on mods!

got hold of the grey paint its slightly darker but looks far better!

bmc cda style airfilter is on order
as is a breather filter
the just little bits and pieces :)

Hello all!

so had a week off work so plenty of time to work on the car!

engine bay is near enough complete just to tidy wires up and secure the ecu

got my strut brace delivered! painted it red!

sprayed the engine bay again and took all rust of manifold and painted it with vht matt black!

as for the bodywork i sparayed one side and noticed a few marks and fillered them (i have severe OCD when it comes to things like this)

painted the calipers red aswell

tomorrow am gonna hopefully spray the whole car entirely and run over with some matt lacquer to protect it

and if theres enough time il refurb the wheels!

heres a few photos!
