its just a passing phase lol

i really liked the style of wheel always thought they looked smart

as for the tyres it purely to get the tread under the arch not for looks otherwise i would have put 165 50 13's on

but i wanted also to keep the rolling radius the same so i didnt develop arch gap

theres a cinq up the road with collapsed suspension annd might have to see if i can have any bits off it (passenger door glass , windscreen , rear bumper)

it has plastic bumpers are they the same as a sporting they just need to be colour coded?

I've always believed they were the same. Stamp should confirm (will have the plastic labelled too, for recycling purposes).

There are folk who believe that the non-painted ones have some special plastic which contains silicone and won't take paint: I've always thought that they lacked elbow grease, panel wipe, and plastic primer! ;)

Well heres an update

i had a change of heart , spot the difference!

went down to my local motor factors and got 5l of Satin black for £20

and a couple of hours it was done!

didnt fuss about the bumper and windscreen as they are being replaced

anyone know a good place that does a replacement windscreen

not autoglass , or insurance

il get some decent pictures up in a few days

Yeah done it on the saturday when it wasnt raining you only need heat for gloss to bake the clear , matt near enough dries instantly as soon as it hits the panel 1 coverage coat and thinned out 60/40 and about 4 thinned out layers after

Soo many parts have been ordered!

An Abarth Body Kit (needs some work)
0.9 Centre Section (without the box)
Standard Backbox
Hid Kit (10k)
OMP Boss Kit
Dished Steering Wheel
Passenger window (someone smashed it , when it was the previous owners)
Smoked Side Repeaters
New Windscreen
Aero Wipers
Centre Caps
New Pads
New Shoes
Bushes For Rear Arms

Just need to spray the bonnet again as something re-acted
paint the bodykit when it gets here
fit all of the above

put it all back together and hopefully will be ready for an MOT :D

So my deep dish steering wheel came just waiting on the OMP boss kit to come next week

And i also got my 10k HID kit
Thought id get one job out of the way and fit it

So i have the drivers light all working however the other one wont come on , i didnt have the car started and was using the jump pack as the battery was flat just so i could use the ignition ,

Theres a relay and a wire that goes to the passenger side so the passenger heatlight plug on the passenger side isnt used

Do these draw alot of power?do they need a good voltage to get them to both turn on?

Fitted my iridium side repeaters (look like clear repeaters but in certain light you can see a subtle purple hint matches the wheels)

Just waiting on my other parts to arrive

However with my steering wheel ive connected the horn wires however after a few turns lock to lock the wires come off (anyway round this)?

So got an abarth front apron delivered

fitted it today after chopping the middle of the bumper out

looks lovely!

and in VERY good condition!

too bad its gonna be painted NO marks on it AT ALL

That and my centre section and backbox turnt up as well

just have to wait for a cheque to clear then i can buy the rear bumper and sideskirts!

So more parts arrived today!

got the rest of my Abarth bodykit from "Razmann"

its needs work (which i did know about ) but should be quite easy to do :)

now i also got an exhaust manifold

its not a supersprint....
or john ashley....
or a janspeed.....

i bought it for £137 brand new off Ebay

now i know its not the best design in comparision to the others however looking at the prices it half the price of a supersprint!

i purley bought this instead of using my standard mk2 manicat which has been grinded to fit and clear the slam panel

now for £137 it looks pretty good! ive seen cheap manifolds before and have been shocked

this however is near perfectly made

clean welds
no splatter
and above all it fits perfectly with bags of room to spare!

im not after a track monster , just a slight improvement so thought as im on a budget this was a safe bet heres a few pictures

oh forgot to mention the box on the manifold is NOT a cat its either a silencer , resonator or a empty box lol, you can buy one with a CAT in for a bit more money if you want to be MOT friendly
