SGM Fiat, More delay for my 500:(the saga!

After being assured my 500 would arrive at the dealer on Monday, it hasnt:(
Rang them this morning and was told that there are 6 cars being delayed at the moment, apparently the guy chased Fiat up this morning and they told him its a transport issue now.... but the transport company wont tell the dealer what the issue is.

Im assuming that as its affecting another lot of cars its not specific to mine, so hoping not a damage problem:( I asked about the price increase, hed not heard about it but assures me mine is a sold car and I wont be asked for more cash:) So, crap service from Fiat, at least tell me why its being delayed, and of course it would have been nice if the dealer had told me it hadnt arrived yesterday before being asked:(

Ive been very patient so far, but Fiat refusing to tell my dealer why my car is being delayed is just pants and Im getting a wee bit fed up now.
 
Im just paranoid its being delayed because of damage, my Panda was in 2004 and they woudlnt say why either and then denied all knowledge when it arrived at dealers in a right state.... Im almost wishing I hadnt ordered it. I need a chill pill:)
 
Why is there such a variation in factory order times?

I ordered mine over the Easter weekend, was told it would arrive late May and it did - and, with the exception of a sliding sunroof and leather interior, it had just about every extra on it.

Some people seem to have to wait much longer - are they ordering through small dealers without any 'buying power'?
 
It just might be delayed because of something small e.g wheel trims etc. My grande punto got stuck at the docks for 2 weeks awaiting the radio from the suppliers. Apparently they are fitted over here. In the end the dealer got the car through quicker and took a radio from a stock car he had!
 
Fiat CS called me today (well done them) to say that there is a staff issue at the distribution centre affecting deliveries. He said he had no idea what the issue was or how long it may last... but promised to speak to the manager of Fiats logistics centre tommorow to find more out:)
I rang the dealer just to let them know Id called CS but not to complain about them, just in case they thought I had! They still had no idea what was going on either, this is weird.
Youd think Fiat UK might know whats up with the staff who distribute their cars eh.
My poor 500 must be getting a right battering from the wind/rain at the dock now, hes been there three weeks now:(
