Model Rocketry/Aircraft/Boats anyone ?

Hello All

I've not been on here long but hoping that there might be some other like minded hobbyists frequenting these hallowed halls.

I've been into model making for a great many years including my years in the RAF Regiment when my fellow gunners viewed me as a bit of a 'nance'...poor deluded individuals ! and although I'm now in my dotage, I'm not quite ready to apply for membership of the D&J just yet.

Anyway, I have a 33 mile drive to fly the aircraft, 60 to launch the rockets, and as for the boats....the bath's only about 10 feet away !

So if anybody's interested in any of the above disciplines please give me a shout maybe on 14.250mhz 20 metre band (amateur radio operator too)

The turbo jet powered models are amazing no doubt with costs to match. An Me 262 and Gloster Meteor would be great.

But then so would a Supermarine Walrus especially if it was big enough to have a genuine radial engine.

I'm not a modeller but seriously appreciate the work involved.

I'm more into 28mm 'heroic' scale miniatures, and Airfix/Revell kits than anything functional, I love the idea of RC planes/boats/cars but I just can't justify the expense with how often I might get to use them.
