Hi guys, i have a Punto 55s Mk1.
The drivers side door seal is leaking when going in the car wash and when going down the motorway the wind blows into the car, when i look from the outside the door does not look flush with the car like the passenger side.
Have just got the car cheap so i am unsure as to if it has had the door changed (as the lock is diffrent) or if somebody has tryed to brake into it by forceing the top of the door outwards.
I have cleaned out the seal and that made it worse, but atleast the door does not freeeze up in the cold like the passenger side lol.

any ideas where i can get a new seal and how to get it off or any other ideas?
thanks.

Can i bend the door back in any way? all the paint work matches so i think it has been forced but they is no marks on the paint.
Will i do better with another door or useing silicone sealer?

if i thought it was a bent door i would wind the window down and give it a tug from the internal side of the door to bring the upper frame in a little. usually a very small bend is enough to make it leak and the wind get in but where the frame meets the rest of the door the movement is minimal so the paint very rarely cracks.

silicone is messy stuff to start playing with as a door seal

best way to force the door frame in is to put a lump of 2x2 in the door shut so it makes door stay open 3 inches but cant cause any paint damage, now carefully with the palms of your hands bash the frame in ever so slightly have the window fully down whilst doing this
then slightly adjust the door frame catch in the b post, surprisingly you can get better results by bringing it outwards rather than nearer the car if you understand me

if the seal is unbroken then theres not much point in changing it.they pull off but at this age usually rip as you pull by the way
