Styling mk 2 after market mirrors

how do they attach? they dont seem to have any place for the 'base plate' - or do they have special ones?!

or do they need attaching and smoothing in (gutted if someone hits one of them though!!)

be careful if buying off ebay as there are 100s of sellers on there sell ones that they say are for a mk2/mk2b but they are not and wont fit. there are also ones out there that are a strange plastic that makes the paint buble off

so they have to be special mirrors then? i have my heart set on the ones i want, and won't compromise, so i guess its a case of modifying then lol

I've just bought some SLR mirrors for my punto and the base plates no where near fit, the shop that I bought them from said the base plates were made specificy for the punto mk2 but no way are they gunna fit.
