Methinks the price is a tad optomistic, it needs a hell of a lot of work to finish it.

B*llocks to that, haha... way too much work to be fair! Although its not really a cento... sure that would need some major inspection when complete!!
Fair play for the effort thats gone into it though!
imho its only good as a grass track car... never be a road car.... and if you ever go watch grass track cars there are many bigger and better things imho.

That price is a joke surely... I could understand it if it were built... but its just a handmade cage, with cinq panels & a v6 lump...

kinda the money id like for my cinq (most likely get that in bits)
but i agree... for a very unfinished project its a lot of money for something thats not very useful...
lot of work tho so i feel their pain haha
It's only really worth scrap now given the amount of time the engine has sat around.
Whoever buys (hopefully not at that price) it will quickly discover that it isn't worth finishing without removing half of the over done caging, and relocating things.

I hope someone finishes it, preferably the guy who started it. Sure, there are a lot of design decisions I disagree with, but it's a brave, brave, project.
The engine should be fine if it has been put to bed properly and, then, it is only a 2.5 V6. Not exactly a rare thing.

agreed. I know of one in a crash damaged car with about 14k on the clock... worth scrap value
At that price I don't think it will ever go. Half that and someone might take a stab at it. The big problem with unfinished projects is people tend to value them on the materials and parts price alone, which is often dwarfed by the time and effort to get them to the stage they're at.
As for the engine being ok I don't think that matters, a 3.0 24V should fit in and take it to near 300bhp/ton.
Bit I'm confused about it though as he says it just needs bodywork completing? Surely that's a very small task in comparison to the work to get to that stage and it could be finished for track work by spring?

I think you are all missing the bigger picture, his Mrs has probably told him he has to get rid of it,:bang: so he says " Yes dear, I'll put some adds on the tinterweb" So he advertises it at a price he knows wont sell, she's happy he's trying to sell it, he's happy as he knows he's keeping it.

I wouldnt think so mate mikes mate own a cinq with a 340bhp hayabusa turbo engine and the best thing its 4x4.
allways up for a challenge tho
