Hi
Just bought a vgate vlinker ms+ to use with iPhone via Bluetooth
I’m using the free app of the multiecuscan software just to see if it all works
I’ve tried a scan and that works so I take it , it is connecting indeed when I tried to reset errors it said that the prompt could not be completed on free trial so I guess I’m asking
1 , do you think my set up is comparable and working before I buy the full service ?
2 when I tried to access body control module the phone asked me to attach yellow cable , is this correct ?
Regards
Barry

1. Yes, it is working correctly. It should do as it is shown as a compatible device on the MES site.
2. Yes, you will need a yellow lead to connect to many of the systems on the car. Connect the cable between your Vgate and the car OBD port.

MES will tell you when the lead is required.

Thank you for the info

I have the same set up of vLinker and iPhone. It works brilliantly on a 2018 MJ Panda 4x4.

But, note that the phone version needs you to pay an annual fee of £50. I recently acquired an old (2017) Windows laptop. I’ve wiped this and now use it only for MES. The PC version is pay once and use forever … (I’m Mac based for everything else hence previously using the iPhone version). Took a bit of faffing to get the Bluetooth set up right, but all working now. Identical to phone version in the way it works, but a bigger screen to see things like the graphs on.

Yellow adapter - yes. And you’ll only ever need the yellow one with the Panda, so don’t buy the sets of six various colour ones advertised in several places.
