We are about to introduce the new rabbits to the guinea pigs. They are roughly the same size, and doing it under full supervision. Got any hints or tips???

i think you will be ok with girl rabbits, boy rabbits would hump the guinea pigs;)

sammi shed bird looked black to me:I
shed bird has gone now so have all the babies, i think the last one must have learnt to fly this afternoon.
squriels don't eat baby birds do they?

front garden bird is defently brown she is still there sitting on the babies.

Thanks - they are both girl rabbits [well, 99% certain], and they got on really well with the boy guinea pigs - lots of chuttering and smelling each other! A good start :)

usualy if they are in danger, the parents will call frantically, as said before it does take them a while to learn to fly, but the parents are usually good. we have blackbirds nesting in our garden, fantastic parents. Last year i i got woken up early hours about 2am, and i heard two blackbirds shouting and screaming, i looked out of my window and a cat was after one of the babies in next doors garden, so i climbed over the fence and rescued him, i then finished rearing him at work, he was called billy! I wouldn't worry too much dave, you may see them in a couple of days, but the parents will try and split the brood up and hide them in different gardens etc....

Here's a quick question.

We came across a rabbit the other day cooped up in a real small hutch. Its' nails were curled backwards, about two inches long. Poor old thing, he/she looked really miserable

How long would he/she have been suffering to get into this state:(

a long time i think, when we got bink he was only 8-9 mounths old and he needed his nails clipped.

My cat always have long nails :( We clip them but he loves to stick them into your skin and won't use a scratch post, just a certain bit of wallpaper next to the window (fortunately hidden by net curtains!)

yeah, my cat does that all the time, treading up and down as if taking weight off one leg at a time, he is all lovable BUT when he sits on you and does it, his claws dig deep and it's only nice to stroke him if you have a duvet over you to protect you!
