Technical Marea 1.8 16v Ecu Remap

never heard of it being done and personally i wouldnt bother.

buying a 20v will probably cost less

early 1.8s cant be remapped, the ecu has no eeprom, but then can be chipped. later ecu's can be remapped, but few websites seem to list it. in both cases the peak gains are usually claimed to be approx 10bhp and 8lb/ft, but peak gain figures are meaningless. personally i would also recommend you buy a 20v instead, i loved my 1.8 but i wish i bought the 20v because the costs aren't much different.

Thanks for info.I asked in Fiat dealer-told me he never done this because of that HITACHI electronic, any other Fiat engine could remap
Well I service Marea all by myself, and with 20V that wont be so easy,and costs in my country are higher-insurance,tax....
