also theres a hand break signal sent to the radio? whats that for? I thought it was just based on speed input from the BC

Hand brake signal is usually there to disable the TV or video showing in the front of the car while driving. Not sure what the legallity of watching TV while driving is now. ;)

this is windows based device
you can install everything - garmin, igo, tomtom,sygic...even all together
it's much easer than factory nav

The "TV" option will just be an RCA input from a TV box you will have to buy separately (so you can get DVB-T ones).

Yeah, the hand brake signal is for playing videos only whilst park as it is illegal to watch videos while driving the car - bear in mind this is only if the driver can see it i.e. rear zone viewing will still be allowed.

It looks nice but I am concerned over the following few things:

1) No buttons for the radio/mp3 player on the HU. Touchscreen is cool but as a secondary option only... especially while driving :)

2) I wonder if the steering wheel buttons for the original HU would still work for the volume, radio stations and song changes.

3) Last but not least for sure - buttons colour. It says Red or Orange (Optional) but I wonder about the Orange... how close is to the the original orange colors in the car. It might be strange but perhaps this is my main concern as I would really like to keep as closest as possible to the original look of the car and I really hate having more than one colour in inside :)

Well... I guess these concerns could not be addressed anywhere since they could be answered only by someone who already has this HU

1: you can change songs with the steering wheel, or the right knob (the round button) on the headunit. the left one is for volume. so there are plenty of option to control it without the screen.

2: They told me all steering wheel buttons work

3: not sure about that, I'll have to check it out myself. they probably had a real bravo headunit on hand while building this to make sure the colours are right but you never know. (on the bmw one I tested they're spot on)

Alright then, that sounds good. I was really concerned about that touchscreen thing while driving. I am still trying to get used to my HTC Legend that I am using for almost two years... finding someone to dial while driving is a real pain in the back with these touchscreens. (n)

Anyway, having the right knob button and the steering wheels properly working this HU sounds like a good option.

I guess it's only button's color now... even though it might not be that as long as they have a orange option and you could always adjust the brightness of the car's orange.

Thanks for the answer, Tad (y)

Maybe the buttons color is already perfect, you can't trust the photo.

Anyway, if anyone wants to purchase one, make sure you contact this email address : ada_@_hualingan_._com

(remove the _ )

They're the manufacturers and their price is by far the best.

Just specify what you need, this unit is HL-8811GB + options you want(like DVB for digital TV or what maps preinstalled or rear view camera, extra headrest screens etc...)

in Europe, things are slightly different
when you shopping from the Far East is possible to pay VAT and duty when the goods arrive in the country

Re: about the new touchscreen navigation HU for bravo

i'm in china, there r over 10 bravo owners got this on car already,i'll show u some pix.

want it and contact me

Could you do a video of the functions and controls and post it on youtube so we can see it in action please? :D

Yes, it would be really nice if you could do that. Especially if you do it in the dark so that we could also see the actual color of the buttons' lights (y)

We have changed the factory CD player to DVD+GPS player in Beijing, China.
and we think the dashbord and buttons is good as factory made.
It is easy to change, remove the original CD player, then plug in wires and adapter, push it back.
Blue&me is keep and ok, u can take phone and use USB stick.
Good news is we get a iPod wire and 2nd USB porter.
U can plug iPod directly without USB wire, and read the music's name from screen then choose one to listen.
U can copy the GPS navigation program in TF(micro SD) card and into right up blank on board, and choose the exective direct, the click the "Navigate" icon on screen.
and we can gaet 2nd bluebooth, with one dialpad, no need call loud for call-out phone.
Sorry for my poor english, I do my best to let u know what I want to talk to u.

If anyone know chinese, u can go to www. xcar. com. cn, and searth it. We post the installation and pics.

Hope u happy with it.
