General Limp mode

Has anyone had limp mode on punto 1.2 pop and what causes it.my levels are fine ive changed plugs.leads and coil pack plus crankshaft and camshaft sensors and still goes into limp mode sometimes every couple of miles.im loztnow what to do the obd says intermittent mis fire on cylinder 2 and 3.

Does this happen only on faster roads..?

Since doing service on car and had tofit new pickup pipe in sump as it was broken allowing no oil to the engine

0. Something silly (from lack of preventive maintenance).
1. Electrical. Power delivery, battery, alternator, main wiring corrosion both "earth" and "positive", main fuse/relay box.
2. Fuel delivery. Check pressure, take a look at the injectors. Try fuel additive (cleaner).
3. Timing and/or VVT. Check via OBD2, FES or MES program ("VVT1 position" 106 degrees or very close).
4. Electronics (ECU failure, ignition coil drivers), sensors (MAP, temperatures, lambdas and so on).
