sorry,but not good enough.this is an important issue.i still stand by what i posted.people are still asking about the red keys,and wrong info is being given out.this needs sorting.

I said I am dealing with this and I am - I am sorry that I havent been mithering them for an answer but at the moment I am sorting some personal matters out to do with my car accident.

Again i apologise if this isn't good enough, I volunteer here as a mod, and with responses like that makes me wonder why i bother. I also apologise for having a personal life and not running around after everyone but the matter of my car is more important right now - before someone says it, I am not having a go I am just fed up

I will equire some more soon.

no i did not.see,again you dont read the posts correctly.i said you need the red key for servicing until the revised model came out.the key is for sorting the ecu,immobilisor centrol locking and radio on the first model.i then said you dont need a red key on later models.this was an answer to someone with a later model.please dave,get youre facts right.the fiat techs could not confirm or rule it out yes? well iam in the trade.i have worked for fiat.i have bought,sold and repaired them.ive had 5 bravo.brava.mareas with keys missing or diagnostic problems[they seem plagued by it].and through experience of fixing the problems i have found this info out.btw,dont want to fall out over this.its just the way as a moderator you responded.

iam sorry for you problems sammi.perhaps somebody else should have been given the task of sorting this answer.but we all have problems.i face mine tomorrow when i go into hospital for a major op.spirits up for you and me.

I'm not after steeping on anyones toes, trying to gain world piece etc etc. But would it not be best to discuss this topic with yourself and the mods via PM's?

Surely it's going to cause more conflict if others can get involved by reading the posts previous, only not everyone knows the whole story

for thoes that dont know, he kept worrying bravo/a people by saying they needed red key to get thier car serviced, the fiat techs said that when the cars were new that was the case to install ecu updates, but as there are no more up dates being written then they wouldnt need it no more, but he still thinks that people should be told they need a red key for servicing.

Sumplug mentioned that it involved you dave, and mentioned Sammiboo too. Sammiboo has already said that it's being looked into, so surely PM's between the 3 of you would stop the need for the thread. If you look at the views the threads had, theres a fair amount, when really we don't need to know. Surely if it was kept between those concerned, it wouldn't involve unnessecary conflict i.e others commenting on the thread.
