I know right, its tough having a job and working on the car in winter months :p only kiddin' mate i know its taking an age but i'm still learning about cars all the time and want to make sure that i dont snap it off, causing more expense

Well I certainly plan on getting hold of one this weekend, but struggling to find someone willing to lend me one
 
would you believe it still not resolved it, cant get hold of a blow torch only thing i could get my hands on was a heat gun for stripping paint from wood which was no good. not 100% about going to hire one out incase it doesnt work and its more money down the drain.

How much would i be looking at to get it done at a garage?
 
and I definitely would not use a shifter on it, even though the bahco ones are excellent quality

It'll be fine, I've seen some of the abuse our Bahco shifters can take when disassembling heritage industrial locos caked in all sorts of corrosive filth :yuck:

I too am guilty of not getting round to replacing my lambda sensor. I might just wait until I've moved into the new house and use the inspection pit rather than having the car precariously balanced on axle stands at the roadside.
 
I've tried everything. Plus gas, I even had a spanner may have to resort to a specialist lambda one but that's no guarantee it will work either
