General key fob problem

Hi,
new to this so be gentle....
bought a multipla a few weeks ago....love it!!!!!!!!
just one problem...one of the keyfobs battery has given up the ghost
(3 came with the car) we also have the code card..
is it just a case of changing the battery or is it dealer job,does it have to be re programmed??

As far as I am aware replacing the battery should do it.

It shouldn't need reprogrammed, and Mr Timpson will be able to replace the battery on the spot.

However, be aware that there is a common problem with the fobs where the microswitch becomes detached from the circuit board (search for other posts re this). It's an easy fix with a soldering iron, but the loose microswitch is easily lost when opening up the fob.

So open it up over a sheet of paper or cloth and watch for it dropping out!

Hi, Took mine into local motor factors and they put the new battery in and just charged me the cost of the battery. My key fob now has a fantastic range on it should of done it earlier.
