If it's not got a grille, it's a Mk2; if it has, it's a Mk2b...!
Have a search for "airbag problems" in the Mk2/2b section, and I think you'll find the answer; otherwise, AndyRKett will be along momentarily, with a link to one of his superb videos -- but only once you've told us exactly what the problem is...!
it will b a mk2 coz its not got a grille thanks 4 that. the red airbag light is on all the time, ive just ordered the kkl lead with all the colour add ons red, yellow, green n purple n got fiat ecuscan installed n ready to go but which punto do i choose (by the way ive got a 1.2 8v 52 plate) coz there is Fiat Punto '99 1.2 8V then gose to Fiat Punto '03 1.2 8V if that make sense and then which airbag thing do i pick. thanks 4 helpIf it's not got a grille, it's a Mk2; if it has, it's a Mk2b...!

see if you get comms with 99
if after trying all the options you still fail to communicate then its likely your airbag ecu has been corrupted,its a common problem if car has been started with a flat battery
you dont need the video,common sense is all thats needed

Everyone seems to have problems with airbag lights so you're not in the minority
Video here as suggested by @Homeward
And once you've got your cables go for the 99 punto and try all the modules on the program, if you pick the wrong one you'll get 'ISO error' pop up but you can still do most things. If you don't get ISO error when connecting then that the right airbag module
If you keep getting the problem reoccurring then you may need to look at the wiring loom fix fiat brought out and can be picked up for about £8 from your local fiat dealer

10w 40 is what most people use, I not long ago put 5w 40 in but that was for different reasons..so best is 10w 40 I would say
it dont matter what make oil you use,
Asda's own etc.. is good enough for a punto,
