Hi. I’ve just joined as I’m looking to buy a camper van on a 2007 Fiat 1.9 JTD van. I’m not technical but have read a few websites and it seems the stylus is the thing to avoid which makes MkII engines better than MkI.

Does anyone know which Mk this van has, please? And other tips, advice, warnings would also be greatly appreciated.

It’s low mileage, 39,500. Many thanks

Basically there are 2 different variants for each year

Ideally you want to see the VIN PLATE

THE VIN will have 244 or similar at the start of the long chassis number..
That is the relevant body

I have now heard from the garage that the base van is in fact a Mark 2 Fiat Scudo JTD, so should be stilo-free!
