iwouid buy another ones just to rule it out,
by that imean, dont go out and pay a crazy price for one, grab one off a breaker, fiver or so?
this is something idont have amongst my parts box as ive not found a 16valve to break up yet,

my breaker here are asking for £15 for a lambda :(

ill have a look on ebay and the likes for a decent looking breaker lambda at good price and see what happens with that,

will keep this posted/updated

Pretty much same here, last time there were 4 1.2 8v, no mk2b, no sportings,

And this is my only scrappy within reasonable distance,

Also doesn't help with the lack of motoring shops in general around here,

tbh I don't recall ever seeing a 16v sporting of any kind in the scrap yard..

Also the 8v lambdas are the same as 16v right, both compatible with eachother?

i would suggest you get the emissions tested, im sure your local garage would do this if you know them and flicked your eyelashes nicely(y)

It passed it's mot few months ago, from what I remember I think it was running lumpy them, surely it would have failed on emissions?

What are you thinking is wrong if you think it needs emissions testing may I ask? :)

things like map sensor dont always show a fault code but would cause lumpy running
mot to be fair i would have thought would rule this out but remember cars are washing machines with wheels ie they work today but flood the kitchen tomorrow
i would still do the test and also plug in a vacuum gauge
of course i assume airfilter and box in good condition and no holes in breather pipes etc

basically methodically go over engine bay

Map sensor is only renewable from what I remember? can't clean it/test it?

Vacuum gauge seem cheap enough, I might pick one up from online,

Airbox, breathers all in good nick, new leads etc,

Btw as I have access to full MES, what could I monitor on there that could well help with this problem? :)

i dont really use mes to check engine blips as i find the graph too small for my laptop
you could try looking on the analogue data for signs of sensors dropping out
take map out and see if hole blocked in manifold
no dont clean map as it works like a human ear and is easily damaged

vacuum gauge on tickover and blipped will tell you loads about state of engine

Looked at MES, no obvious anomalies,

Still need to check map (didn't realise had to remove airbox),

Vacuum gauge same as compression testing? Doesn't sound like it?
