Well I'm a bit gobsmacked, the cambelt kit just arrived too. 3 different suppliers, 3 different couriers and everything arrived the same day.
Is the cambelt still made by Dayco or is it a Contitech belt?

You can take the pump off without upsetting the timing, there is two threaded holes in the head, the throttle housing bolts go through it and bolt the pulley to the head, the pump then comes away very easy. As you say it doesn't need timed so its just a bolt up job. The 16v is a wee bit different, there's a woodruff key on the pump shaft but its the same, I have removed inlet manifolds on both engines without untensioning the belt. Sorry if I'm too late shadey
Fenner Power Transmission is the manufacturer of the belt. Never heard of them.
Also, the part number on the belt looks like a Fiat part number, but it's not in ePER. Get your friend to check it before fitting it.

This is a photo of the writing on the belt, just shows the Fiat parts emblem, no other manufacturer name.

I suspect alexGS is correct and they are Fiat because the same emblem found on the Stilo's rear bushes is also found on this belt.
And the club hammer was for...............
