Hi All,

I've got a Marea, and thanks to the great responses I've had from this site, I recently replaced the toy stereo Fiat try to hoodwink us with (Fascia from Halfords - great service, posted it to Ireland!), got a Blaupunkt Madison DJ31 10-Disc for IR£280 +£30 to fit.

And it's all great.....except I don't have a clock in the car! (I'm one of those people who has to have a clock!) I can't set the default display on the Blaupunkt to 'clock'...I know...I should have checked!

So, you 'folks-who-know-everything', has anyone else had a similar problem? Have you put up with it, or did you find something which can be seen at night in the car?

I know someone is going to come up with a blindingly clever solution!

Thanks,

Pat.

re-clock

how's this....

I'ts not really brilliant but i'll try

Visit halfords or any car abuser shop and you should be able to pick up this pretty neat little digital clock and temp gauge. it connects straight onto any 12v power source (batt or stereo power cable etc) and has a fixing pad on the back. It's about 4 inches long and black plastic. it comes with either a trick blue or red backlight which will be activated whenever the button is pressed. I't looks pretty nifty and should only set you back about a few quid then at least you've got the time!

clock

only an idea but you could do what i do, and wear a watch...?!

I was given....

a very neat small alarm clock about 2 inches by 1 inch that has a very sexy design. The grat thing about it is that for travelling it is enclosed but the front hinges open about 300 degrees to act as a support. This support fits neatly into the air vents at 180 degrees with slight friction (and it looks like the styling of the interior light !)

Or..

try mounting a sundial on the bonnet like they do on Merc, Rolls and Bentley, at least I think thats what they are.....

you should have kept the toy edition.it was the wrong TIME to change.does this new system make a cup of coffee at coffee TIME.i have music AND A CLOCK in my bravo.AND I HAVNT CHANGED A THING.you may learn in TIME that if you make changes you have to do it at the right TIME or you may be find yourself in a TIMEwarp.however i hope that there is enough mentions of TIME here to compensate you for lack of a clock

The cheapest option and the simplest

All you need to do is put your Blaupunkt stereo on full power, drop your windows down and park outside some poor buggers house. Next thing you know, someone will be screaming at you "What do you think you are doing, playing music that loud at 2 o'clock in the morning"!!
