Hi Red Fred

That's just what I was thinking - since the thread was moved, it's gone very quiet. Shame really as it was quite a busy thread until then. Perhaps 500 owners wanted it kept on their own page to save having to check 500 items in two places.

I don't think some of them are noticing the sticky at the top of the 500 page.

After all the initial interest there only seem to be around 8 500s (17 people) attending from the forum so far.

I think us 'mainlanders' ought to arrive in covoy, like an invasion force off a landing craft (car ferry).

So to that end, how about a list of who's going over when?

I also thought that if anyone was doing the Friday AM we could meet at the Little Chef at Popham (the Heston Blumenthal one) for a tasty breakfast.

I'll be coming straight from work unfortunately, so I'll be on a late evening Ferry. Unless I can wangle an early shift, and then I'll be on a late afternoon/early evening one!

(n)Bax, Unfortunately, due to the new date Nottsfiat and myself have already got prior arrangements. I would have liked to have checked out the mod your dealer made and more importantly I wanted you to listen to mine and rate it on a scale of 1-10 against how yours sounded originally.

Never mind there's always next year and I'm sure that there will be some smaller meets arranged across the country that I might be able to attend. (y)

I'm up for meeting up on the Friday morning Mark, so at least you'll have one person to travel with!

Thanks for bumping the thread, I had made a mental note it was a sticky, but then scrolled past it since then to get to the gossip!!

We will definitely be staying Saturday night, probably camping. Haven't decided about Friday night yet, will see what the teenagers at home are upto nearer the time.

Would be keen to know where everyone else is staying though, I am happy to meet up in the evening and then drive back to the campsite at bedtime!

Forgot to add we will be doing Southampton to East Cowes. Would it be possible to meet somewhere on the Sunday morning to arrive at Harwoods in a convoy? Perhaps Tesco at Ryde, if everyone is that side of Ryde.

Grim - I may be heading your way for holidays during Spring Summer. Will let you know and we might be able to meet up at some point. I will be happy to listen to your 'noise'. I can only guess that it's not quite so noisy as my 500 was as mine was totally unacceptable.

Hi Booklady

We are planning to stay at the Sandringham so a meet there Saturday evening would be good. Tesco at Ryde also good for us for Sunday (y)

That'll be good and I'm sure we can get a few 500s together locally for an informal drink/meal/chat a la Booklady.
