What is the actual difference between the idTD 1997-2000 and the JTD 2000-2005? The engines are called 8140.43 and 8140.43S, the newer one has a few more BHP and I think something about EGR and the later has common rail injection, but what else? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sofim_8140_engine
The reason I ask is that I need a new motor for my 1998 2.8 idTD. Motor only, injection, exhaust etc can be moved over, if it fits (that is the actual question). There are heaps and loads of used 8140.43S to be found, but no 8140.43
