Hey People,
I have been a bit busy of late and done a few things to my cinq, it all started with me getting my hands on a spare cam cover. So I decided to clean it up and get it powder coated, I took it to a place recommend by Tosh and Brain (cheers
) and the fella was more than happy to do it for me. It turned out great and I have now managed to get it fitted as well.
Next I managed to spot an auction on eBay that was for the full interior from a Seicento Mark 2. The fella who was breaking the car had spelt Seicento wrong and I was hoping that I might be able to win the auction without breaking the bank. A few days later after I spotted the auction on the FF I seen that Liam had posted the same auction up, I thought that I would not win the auction as someone would bid higher. Anyway I decided to go for and I put a bid in close to the end and I ended up winning the auction for £51, yes that’s £51. I was over the moon with it. So me and Brian decided to travel down a few days later collect it all in my car, we packed the back of my car up with all the stuff I had requested from the fella. Here is the link for proof as well (showing off now ).

Anyways I have managed to fit the seats now, see pictures below, and I am really happy with. They need a little clean up when I got them home but nothing major, I have found that they do sit a little higher than the cinq seats, but I quickly got used to that. All the bolt holes are already in the cinq, they are just covered up with a black plastic blanking plug. The only thing I had to do to fit the seats was drill two holes (one per bracket) for the brackets that go at the top of rear backrest that the seats click into.
The next thing I decided to buy was a new headunit, as with fitting the new seats it meant that I would be losing my CD changer. So I bought a Kenwood KDC-W8027 that supports mp3s, it is now full wired up and running really really nice with my Infinity 6X9s. When I got it fitted I found that the standard cinq front speakers could not cope with the power it was putting out, so I bought some new Infinity 4002i 10cm speakers and they sound great. (pictures of these will follow when I get the grills sorted for them).
Thanks
David
