ok, well i use auto glym products, so is it ok too use super resin polish, then extra gloss protection. i was then thinking about gettin a tub of dodo juice orange crush for a wax. would this be the correct method?

auto glym SRP is very good, it fills in swirls too so its a great all rounder. i find the megs 3 step process pretty good too, cleaner wax, polish, carnuba wax.... also, you should buy yourself some clay, you might not think a new car needs claying, but you would be suprised. :D

I have always used the autoglym SRP and extra gloss until I got the GP with it being crossover black the paint shows every tiny little thing so was a PITA.

I now use some new high gloss stuff from autoglym it's one application and especially for dark couloured cars and it works a treat no swirls or anything but I find i do need to polish the car more often than i usually would

do you mean Ultra Deep Shine? i sometimes apply this along with srp and egp. :)

what order do you use them in?

1-2-3....ha,ha it tells ya on the bottle.i think mc GRS 3 step process is the best as a clay kit not really a necessity if you wash and polish your car weekly.i done my whole car several weeks ago with maguirers claykit too much effort for little return, the maguirers paint cleaner then polish then caruba wax is easier to do and better results.i cant see past maguirers kit for the money.their tyre gel is very good too(y)

my carwas supergaurded inside and out plus a free kit i used about 3 weeks after the i got the car.it is the most stubborn STUFF you could possibly imagine too take off your car.it crystalises ounce set.there where 3 of us and 3 hours to try and take this stuff off my car,it left a lot of swirl marks.the same was done by the bodyshop my car was in for repair after the crash i was in they supergaurded the panels that where replaced and left swirl marks aswell on new paint(n) i really do advise any person considering this to stay well clear, overpriced and unuserfreindly to say the least:eek:

the key with stuff like diamondbrite etc is that you should apply both stage one and stage two in straight lines and remove in straight lines. is the dealer has fcuked it up then you should have taken it back, i would have done! tbh i found it pretty easy stuff to work with, just remember to leave the stage one on and then add stage two over the top of it then remove them both together. it is slightly abraisive hence why you have swirls and should be applied/removed in straight lines. DO NOT apply it with a rotary or PC polisher as you will really make a mess.

as for the claying, you would still have to use it whether you wash the car and wax it on a regular basis, because washing and waxing will not remove all the surface contaminants, i.e. tree sap, bird dropping holograms and tar spots. yes, your paint work won't be in such bad condition, but it will still need doing. Sonus make some of the best clays available, but for the last couple of times i have used the meguiars clay kit along with the megs QD and have pretty impressed with the finish.

HTH.

p.s. as for the auto glym products, i used the SRP then the UDS and then finished it off with EGP to seal the finish. :) and the megs is numbered 1, 2 and 3 (cleaner wax, crystal polish and carnuba wax)

i did use the mc guirers clay kit it just didnt remove that much to be honest.i find that the maguirers paint cleaner and a good polish will remove tar and the likes.as for diamond brite i havnt seen or used it.but the hardest waxes i have found to use are maguirers nxt wax its too oily hard work too,and zymol if you dont get it off while still damp it flakes everywhere it sticks in every nook and cranny in the car i notice slight static when i polish my car at times and the flakes off the zymol just clung to it.the maguirers carnuba wax and their gold class are my favs just now easy to apply and take off with outstanding results(y)

Rally slag look is as good as the show look :slayer:

looks really good mate, i love the blue sportings. :D

most favorite colours numero uno X-red,white,orange,grey,blue,black.i would say black being the most common colour in the car not just in the sporting.do not like any car black pointless cleaning them dust magnets:bang:

kris, all you have is shiny glass... you need a camera to catch the depth and the actual paintwork as oppose to the sun glinting off the glass.

Someone has stolen your number plate...

I take it off to clean behind it, its funny how the front end looks massively different

I know minnnt, if I park my car under the sun after a wash n wax n polish thats what it looks like, it's misleading and makes me feel good.

But I can assure you that my paint is swirl free, and is taken care of well.
