Right i go to the Dr's today because i had two wisdom teeth out on the NHS a week ago and im still in excrutiating pain which i shouldnt be.
Any way the Dr tells me they have butchered gums because it looks like the tooth was hard to get out and not sewn up the Gaping Messy hole, and to top it all where they have found it so hard theyve opened my mouth up to much and fractured my Jaw. What comlete F***wits and just before christmas because i like a drink and now im on painkillers as well as my regular medication either of which are advised to drink on.
Well i thought that i would share my rant with everybody and say if you can go Private do so, the only reason i went NHS is because they have vastly reduced the waiting times but that is no substitude for sub standard service.
Take this thread anywhere you want i like some of the random conversations on here recently.

so you're suggesting ribena is the best drink?

i prefer barley water tbh, but ribena is good on a sunny day, especially if you want to get a girl's top off. ribena stains so a little spill here and a little spill there and suddenly she's so keen to get her top off you'd think she's been triple dropping viagra all day.

But I cant get the small grub screw out from underneath! :D

Yes im in the same sort of felling with the NHS at the moment. My dad was went in for an easy routine operation under general anaesthetic and for some reason they let a trainee do it and just as he went under he heard them arguing. They over did the dosage which caused him to vomit while under inhaling it into his lungs. As he came back round they were injecting water into his lungs and sucking it out. He said it was the most frightening thing that's happened to him. Bearing in mind he served out in Ireland during the conflicts.

He's gone back in today for round two they promised that a consultant would do it this time.

Ahhhh yes but do you know where I can buy wostershire sauce Twiglets?

I like the original ones but you can't beat wostershire sauce!

Dentist vary greatly....but to be fair, its the NHS that is gonna be putting you back together again.

But you need to take it up with the dentist, sounds like you could be in for some compensation. I had 2 of my wisdom teeth taken out, but in hospital under a general, cos they were gonna be difficult.

Soz to hear you aint good...esp at this time of year.

They are upstairs in the airing cupboard!

As much as i would like to i dont want to take money from the NHS because that could pay for somebody to have a much needed operation + i dont like this Amercanised notion that you should sue everyone evry time things dont go ur way. I may have done some seemingly immoral things but i do have very strong morrals they just sit in a different place to most people. Theres not a lot anybody can do with it just need to let it heal and hope that the bone is in the right place.

I like the responses to well done every body and Marmite Twiglets are best, they lost the Grub Screw in my dads arm so that sits on his nerve not mine.

PNL Dont worry im sure everything will be fine and usually eye people are very skilled so they have a much higher succuss rate than most others if that makes you feel better.

Barly water is too weak so if you like that true flavour get vimto mix it with 2 shots of rum 1 shot of vodka and a bit of coke then your bound to get layed if you feed that to the target feemale.
And it was the drinks of an Alkaholic nature that i am talking about i do drink on them but i cant really do it in the company of family and it can have some strange or like the other day Tranqualising efffects.

Bummer, unfortunately there is some poor service int the nhs and as always the organisation as a whole only gets judged on its worst work.

Hope it dont last too long for you.

Well i have yet to really experience anything that i can say that was good with the NHS, Thats from my Psychiatrist to Surgery and everything inbetween.

local doctors are great
never been in hospital bar casualty
dentist is private as we have no nhs places left.

thankfully for you then the private option is open

Its only open for the next nine months untill im 23 as im covered on my dads trust fund that he has at work but i cant abuse it and they are quite stringent. so between now and then i need to get enough of a pay rise so i can take out my own policy i would do it now but i would seriosly miss the money. I have decided that its best to leave it untill i get a decent pay rise then i wont notice a drop in wages because i never had it in the first place.

you know that isnt going to happen :)
its british culture to expect the state to wipe your arse. few people even bother to sort out a private pension, never mind private health care.

My father recently went to have a routine operation to fix his hearing in a private hospital, they let him out the next day (too early imo), whilst in hospital he contracted an infection which caused him lose all balance and not just undo the operation, but caused permanent deafness in his left ear and uncontrollable vomiting at home, he was rushed to an NHS hospital where he received brilliant treatment on a clean ward with excellent nurses, consultants and other professionals.

So before you moan about your free healthcare, think about all the times a friend or relative has been well looked after and treated in a professional manner, I'll bet nobody has created a thread about that.

Who did the dr work for that told you all the balls up that have been made?

The NHS like i said i cant abuse the Private healthcare that i have access too so i dont see a private Dr everytime i have a little pain because that will be billed to myself and £100 for a consultation is quite a lot of money to me. And i dont really need a Dr to tell me that they have ballsed it up because i can see and feel it for myself i just wanted to check that i didnt have an infection or anythinf because the area was full of this yellow stuff but that is apparently like a wet scab or allong those lines. I can clearly see that i have a butchered gum and a hole big enough to warrent stitches and i hav'nt been able to open my mouth properly since and when i do it crunches.
One thing i have to say is that my mum has problems with her Jaw dont know exactly what but it could run in the family so my jaw can be suseptable but theres one thing for sure this feels like it is going to cause a whole load of problems for me for the future which is a bit of a bummer.
