General How much for the 100hp service

that sounds like an awesome deal.

just for your info, my second service at 14,000 miles was about £250

How much?!!? Jesus stoneacre reckon my 2nd service is due, even though its first was in feb (had been a demonstrator model before i bought it). Think ill take it to my mate, he deals with warrenty stuff these days so i can't see why i'd want to take it to some robbing dealer. He did me a service on my corsa Sri when i had that for 85 quid all in including a new set of plugs....much better kind of price than a dealer and i'd trust him a damn sight more!

Thought I'd drag up this old thread rather than start a new one.....

Had a 12k service done today on the 100HP at the main dealer in Coventry. I was a bit apprehensive as I usually use the dealer at Warwick but my travels meant I was going to be over that way so I thought I'd give them a shot especially as they'd quoted an entirely reasonable £128.72 for the first service, and as I supplied my own oil it ended up coming to a shade under £90.

The dealer was clean, polite and friendly and supplied a Mazda 2 courtesy car which was quite good fun in the snow. The service was carried out promptly, all the warranty work I needed looking at was done (worryingly one of the curtain airbags wasn't connected properly and was causing a bulge in the headlining!) and they valeted the car whilst I went through the paperwork with a warming hot chocolate in a proper cup.

I don't know if this is a reflection of all Fiat dealers now or if it was because they are also a Suzuki and Mazda franchise but I would highly recommend them if you happen to be in the area.

It sounds like very expensive oil change for me (especially compared to my DIY servicing lol). I've just ordered a 100HP, and I going to try getting it serviced at a Fiat specialist. Geting it done at a main dealer would be good if warranty work needs doing, but giving my car to the dealer would be a very stressful experience for me

What extra needs doing for the second service? - I've seen it costs more.

This time I'm seriously thinking about buying the parts (and thus keeping the receipts for warranty proof) and having a local place do it.

Just booked my 100HP in for its second service (24k) at a Fiat dealer next week... £211 incl. courtesy car...

(The extra cost is a result of tappet adjustment)

First time I've used a main dealer in years...We'll see how the experience pans out...:)

Just going by the handbook - 24k service has item: "Check and adjust tappets (Petrol versions)"...

100HP might be different, though...

Just thought I would ressurect this old thread to put in good word for an excellent independant garage in Wakefield. N&S Auto Services is run by two ex Jaguar technicians who set up on thier own about a year ago. I have had the privilage of working with these guys and they are the only ones I will now trust to work on my car. They just did a 12k service on my 100hp for £85 using genuine Fiat parts plus they were able to reset the service indicator which is something some independants struggle with. :worship:

If you need a service or have a fault call Neil or Stu on 01924 831140 :)
