General How much do u reckon its worth?

Just bought a vw golf gt tdi, and im not sure whether to scrap my punto.

Its 2003 8V in grey, its got a but of rust on the rear door, both wings are dented, a slight oil leak, and some sort of leak (the back seats damp) from underneath not sure. Also a kerb bent the offside rear wheel back a fraction so it probably needs another axle, its MOT'd til march.
Apart from that the engines sound lol. Its done 127000 miles but it had a headgasket less than 10k ago. Its had a new battery, full exhaust system, and rear springs and shocks less than a year ago. I would be a bit gutted if i had to scrap it but i would be happy with about £250...

do you think i could get that much lol?

Mine is in a similar state (lower mileage, but a rust-hole in the roof as well) and I am pretty sure I would struggle to sell it, even at £300!

sell it privately or on here, give poor punto another chance

why scrap something that can be put right and appreciated by a new owner

You will not get much for a Pinto in scrap value , a friend scrapped his and only got £90 they virtually worth pocket money...

So if you want extra money sell it privately or keep it. Don't blame you getting a Golf good choice

iv had the 58bhp punto for about 2 years now, im going to a 140bhp 2 litre tdi, to myself it will be massive difference, and dull doesnt really describe it.
