Technical Hill Problems 1.6 16v

Hi there

Recently bought a 03 - 1.6 16v Petrol Multipla. Runs well around town and on motorway, but as soon as we go up a steep hill it just dies strait away and we have to crawl up in 1st or 2nd gear

Is this normal for this model as it is the first time driving a car that I have come across such a drastic loss of power on a hill ?

no its not normal.

if its definately driving okay around town but dying up hills then it may be some sort of blockage/foreign object in the fuel tank. couldve had a bad fill up from somewhere.
