I am on the search for an engine for my beloved orange Multipla!
Motorcode is 182B6000, but I have been told that the engine has to also have a Fiat original number. In my case there are four versions of the 182B6000 with the Fiat numbers 71728569 or 71722266 or 71728570 or 71722268.

Does anyone know whether this is true or not?
Or maybe even can point me in direction of a used engine?

Thanks in advance,
Rasmus

Hello,

If you fancy a trip to Poland with a small van or a car with a trailer, there are a couple of them available:

Thanks a lot for the links! I was actually considering Poland as an option.
But all I can find through your links are for the Doblo, Marea or Stilo - and none for the Multipla and none with a matching Fiat code, unfortunately :-(
It has to be one of those four numbers in order to match the control box of my Multipla

OK, I've searched with the engine code, not the part number. The problem could be the engine sellers do not put FIAT spare part numbers in the ads, only the engine code. I assume the FIAT part number is not stamped on the engine. Then it also could be that the listed numbers are engine block numbers, so can be misleading.

But I assume you could right about the compatibility. However:

The 71728570 is listed here as a Bravo engine. And yes, I'm getting that it shall fit your Multipla.

And is even cheaper than in Poland :D And the surrounings of where the seller is look much more interesing than Poland at this time of the year. But il will be a long trip.

Another one in the Netherlands:

Poland will probably be the closest country in the EU in which dismantling and selling used car parts is still that easy.

Oh man, thanks a lot for looking into it!
Yes; the Fiat number is seldom in the ads, only the motor code is sure everytime.
I will look further - you found the right Fiat numbers, but when I look into them they don't have the right motor code! So it seems that it can be even more confusing than I thought!
The French one is with motor code 182A4000 (and not 182B6000 as needed for my Multipla) - the Dutch one is also 182A4000.

I have been writing with some Danish Fiat afficionados and they state that the Fiat number isn't as important as my mechanic has told me. So I might need to have another talk with him! :)
