Glad you got it sorted. ! excellent,
I would recommend that all people that have more than a passing interest in their cars and would like to fault find and know more take a look at Multiecuscan. Download the demo and experiment, it would have identified and verified this issue. There is no other publicly available diagnostic tool that is capable of the level of diagnosis and testing for a fiat / alfa / lancia .
Often one fault diagnosed can pay for the cost of the unit ! :) - I would recommend the Multiplexed version as Cantiecar interface is amazing, also you do not need multi connectors for different ecus. An excellent product.

There is no need to 'guess' or swap components etc to test, just plug in and go,

Well it seems that it really was the pedal, and only a bit of dirt in the connctor.
It also seems that the car is a lot faster now. The revs are rising quicker than before. It feels a little more frisky than before.
I'm happy again!

My 100hp sometimes idles close to 1300rpm when I start it up. If I sit and wait it usually drops down to just about 750 after 10-20 seconds. Where is the connector for the pedal? Thinking about giving it a quick clean to see if it's that.

Thanks
