Hi, I have a Qubo, but has the same engine as the Panda 1.3 diesel.
As of yesterday I have a message pop up on the dash Engine fault, so carried on driving and tried to go up a hill and no power after 3'000 rev and had to go into 1st gear.
I have read the error with the Multiscan (see below
error.png
) with error code P0697-16, have cleared the errors, but still comes back after starting the engine.

Any help please with this error.

Many thanks.

you have a wiring or sensor fault on the 5V reference voltage to one of the sensors

can you translate whats next to the error code, save me trying to type it in
supple voltage ? is my best guess

take a look at the AC pressure sensor are the contacts corroded, has the temperature gauge also been acting up

try adding a jump lead from the engine to the battery negative

inspect the wires for damage, has the car been in an accident

Hi yes sorry it means sensor supply 3. thanks for the info and will try. I did have the AC fixed last week as one of the connectors was leaking. So maybe a damaged AC sensor?? But would this put it into limp mode?. Many thanks once gain.

P0697-16 power supply 3

There are sensors that use a 5v feed, alter it in some way and return the altered voltage back the engine ECU.
It then looks up that voltage and "knows" what's going on with that sensor.

There are several 5v powered feeds for these sensors, you have a problem with a short or break with number 3.

I can't find any Fiat reference for the 3 supply apart from check engine management control unit connections by carrying out test 1060GP.

But I'm wondering if this is the problem with the fan circuit as the codes before and after relate to fan speed control and I think the AC equiped models have three speeds.
I suspect this might not be a 5v sensor feed but perhaps the power supply feed to the fan at speed 3 is monitored and it's detected a short in it.

You would think a problem with the cooling fan would trip a limp and restrict performance.

Yes

AC pressure has in the past caused limp mode in both Fiats and Alfers

I have never worked on a Qubo but suspect just disconnected and reset of code would be enough to test ?

Hi, found this issue and it seems to be the AC Pressure Sensor. Thanks sooo much, just need to get a new one and then re-pressured.
Saved my loads of time and money.
cheers,
