They have no point whatsoever. From looking at the pictures, there is nothing to indicate where they were taken and nothing that would give anyone any useful information about the palace.

.

But its not what they show, its what they could have shown.

You don't need to convince me this is crap, BUT I just think the could and would make this stick. It is probably in his contract that he isn't allowed to take photos inside the palace or something, and is probably counted as gross misconduct.

The problem is things have to be judged by severity. In the same way that a little boy stealing a sweet from a sweet shop would not be dealt with in the same way as a previously convisted criminal comminting and armed robbery, these photos should be dealt with differently to someone giving out blueprints of the palace.

If he was selling out of his living room it would be different, but shouldn't he have been doing work at work?

I pitty anybody I employ over the x-mas period (assuming I get into a position where I employ people) there will be no fun or merryment in my office... and Ben'll tell you thats true!

But this is work, and breach of contract is breach of contract, if for example, you work at a suparmarket and they caught you pinching sweets, you'd probably be sacked just the same as if you nicked a telly, only difference being the probably would also prosecute for the more serious crime.

Come to think of it, had this kids intentions been more sinister, the law would probably have been called in then too.

As for my comment about not doing something when you haven't been there long, what I meant was, after 7 years, as apposed to 7weeks, you would probably be much more aware of where the boundaries were, and how much they could be pushed.

Also, if you had 7 years exemplary service that may be taking into consideration.
