Technical Headlights Staying on.

When I turn the ignition on my Fiat Punto 2012 the headlights come on and stay on.

I have checked the follow me home and that is off.

The headlight switch is off.

If I remove the headlight relay in the under bonnet fuse box the headlights go off.

I have had it plugged into a diagnostic machine and it comes up headlight switch.

I have spoken to the local Fiat agent and they tend to doubt it is the switch as they have only sold one since 2019. They weren’t very helpful otherwise.

Has anyone had a similar problem or any Fiat Techs have any thoughts. Thanks

Forum has a few threads anout repairing the switch itself.. so its obviously not bulletproof

However.. I have not had one fail

My 2012 has covered 70k.. and my grandes @300k total

I believe the switch was unchanged for the 10+ years.. 2005 / 18

So the fix is as likely to be in the Evo section.. as GP or 2012
