So is the car driving well at this point in time

The noise is at the front

Does it sound worse from underneath

Is the MAP covered in oil again

So sorry for my delay

I will check very soon

The car goes back and forth — it generally drives well though maybe there’s a lack of power (can tell if it’s me or this is just how the Panda is on certain hills)

It gets into trouble at stop lights and roundabouts — and lately is has a little trouble starting

Idk if the throttle bottle has a leak or somewhere there might be a vacuum leak

Small vacuum leaks aren't a problem, it's seen by and adjusted for by the MAP sensor

As long as it pulls your hand down hard for a couple of seconds it's good enough

If the cars overheated in the past it's not unknown for the plastic inlet manifold to melt slightly

But that does not appear to be the problem here

If it's been burning expensive oil, it likely to have filled up the inlet manifold slightly

Clean the MAP again, push a rag through the hole where it was bolted and soak up as much oil as you can

Temporary disconnect the breather pipe from the cam cover

Take it for a drive and see if there's any improvement

Is there a way to clean the inlet manifold??

Yep take the throttle body off

And push rag towards the drivers side

We just need to see if there's an improvement, a quick and dirty poke through the MAP sensor hole and leave the breather off is good enough for some feedback as to whether we are on the right lines or not

I’ll get on that in the next 15 min!! Thank you!!

Just did that (haven’t removed throttle body for cleaning yet)

Ran very smooth especially at the beginning — could even feel the engine while sitting in driver seat

That noise came back again and I’m not sure what it is

Took videos above and below engine

That great sounds like we are on the right lines here then

Maybe there’s too little oil?

The shop owner advised me not to fill it up all the way — it wasn’t filled to the max dot on the dip stick

They run fine anywhere between mine and max

Since it runs better with the MAP cleaned and breather off, it looking like the problems are around this area

Temporary moving to the noise

The squeaky noise

Is it constantly there

Sounds slower than engine revs

Does it still do it if you flick the auxiliary belt off

Let me give that a shot

Also, I just cleaned out my breather hose that goes to the cam cover, and I used break cleaner

I’ve done everything I can to let if dry

It is okay that I’ve done that?

I’ve not started it with it connected back on yet

There was actually gunk and yucky build up in there

Fine

The little spigot on the underside of the air box is known to get block
