I also forgot to mention there was like this stuff when I drained the oil

I filtered the oil through a clean cloth before putting it back in
 
Well I guess this is my plan:

- I’ll run it without plugs for a little bit just to be safe

- I’ll see what the combustion-in-coolant test says

And then I’ll go from there?

Does this sound smart?
 
Take out the plugs and turn the engine over on the starter. If there's a lot of oil left in the cylinders, it'll fly out; you might want a few rags handy!

If there's only a very small amount left, it'll just pass into the exhaust when the engine is next run.

If you've driven the car since this happened, there's probably no oil left in the cylinders anyway.

And if you'd bent a conrod, I doubt it would still run at all.

How long do I run it without plugs?
 
Would that more likely indicate either the oil burned off or rather that oil isn’t the problem?
