Exotica Red - Italian classic!
I really wanted the cruise control, ESP, style and visibility packs and would have saved £1500 by going for the 5 door eleganza however as much as I wanted to i didn't like it. I'm buying 60% outright with the rest over 5 years (about £100 a month which is nothing really) so could afford to splash out on the extras (like reverse parking which I don't really need
)
The lack of new six speed box on the Sporting was a little confusing, I test drove the 105GP which was nice and nippy, was weird having a 6 speed box on a petrol though, what's all that about!
Also got the TomTom which I think your the only one who has it??
Red, is brilliant, all the pictures ive seen of the Sporting in Red look really good... really suits its sporty style.
Much the same demands as me, i bought mine out right so the money i had was the money i had + i want 5 doors, so eleganza was the way to go & im happy i did, brilliant car
.... reverse sensors are pretty cool, it saved me possibly hitting a bollard the otherday, i was reversing and it just started screaming at me, had no idea a bollard was there... so it probably paid for itself right there & then (though, i got em as standard but eh
)
As for the 6 speed, yeah the test drive in the GP i did was damned strange as ive only ever driven a 5 speed, but now im used to it i love it... really boosts the mpg, really quiets up the engine, will be great on motorways.... i dont see why the Sporting didnt get a 6 speed aswell, even if it was only there to shush the engine on motorways.
Yup i have TomTom, and yeah I think im the only forum-active person who has it right now though its refusing to connect to the cars Blue&Me atm so its just like any other tomtom right now so im waiting for the dealership to get back to me with some part they say they need to replace
but its certainly neat & tidy having no wires, and if your glove box is empty it will (just about.) fit in there with stand..... However, i do hope the Evo really takes off & 3rd partys make stands for it, the stand is fine it does the job and its functional, but it cant say it looks good, I think a lower profile/neater stand would be great.
Hello - I've just joined the forum.
Ordered my Multiair Eleganza in Rock and Roll blue on 1st Feb. Dealer expected delivery on 1st April. Actually collected car on 2nd April. Came with style pack although I only ordered body coloured bump strips! So far very impressed although haven't been far because of heavy rain. Much smoother ride than the Panda 100HP it replaces!!
Welcome to FF!
I was torn between Rock&Roll Blue (I think it was R&R) and Progressive Black with my Eleganza, in the end my mum looked at the Blue from inside my car, through a showroom window & decided for me to get the black (I left the choice to her.).... after showing her the blue again since, she decided she didn't see it properly before & it looks really good when shes not looking through 2 panes of tinted windows, typical!
Sounds like you got lucky with the Style Pack, I love the side strips, really adds the final styling touch.
I was also shocked at how smooth the car is, it really does feel like a bigger car rather than a go-kart, i love it... still waiting to get mine on the motorway for a good drive, only got 380miles on the clock and ive had it for 3 weeks so ive not done any real mileage yet either, and the weathers crap so cant even clean it properly!
