Why the diferences in torque?

BenR = 204.8bhp-211.1lbs/ft :slayer:
Shoowee Nick = 205.7bhp-183lbs/ft
Kubi = 204.1bhp-186lbs/ft

Had to do with different exhausts or another previous mod?

A number of factors can cause this as no two engines are the same with regards to build and the fact that Ben has a super sprint exhaust fitted is another factor of this ..just look at a car the same way as a human being we both have to breath the only difference is that you have to help the car by adding on those little extras to help it and in bens case he shot the CDA and replaced it with the twin cone and had the super sprint exhaust already on also ..the fact that he already had the CDA fitted would have helped him as his ECU had the benefit of the increase of air and had already releaned the twin cone though is a more efficient way of delivering the air to the engine not knocking the CDA here it just needs to be plumbed in correctly to get the best out of it with regards to air feed :)

Re: Stilo Rolling Road shootout / Tuning day...

Morning Guys!

Had a great day yesterday, long one though! Cheers to everybody for mucking in and helping out, Bozzy you were a star! same goes to everyone else really...

My car ran a 203.9 BHP with 190.1 Lbs/Ft so im really chuffed - especially as i have no other mods, not even a backbox!

I have to report though, im still getting all the errors and the car is a little hesitant but i had to take it easy on the way home as i had the gf with me! It has improved the MPG though which is a bonus!

i didnt get home till 11, after picking the missus up so i was shattered, but loved the drive to work today. Im going for a blast tonight!

@1.8Stilo, if you could send me some pics and/or video, that would be great!

Cheers to nick and pete for setting this up(y)

Re: Stilo Rolling Road shootout / Tuning day...

Oh yeah, i forgot to thank pete for the awesome job of designing the induction kit, and helping us all out on the day, And the boys at chipped uk, for being extremely patient with us and staying till way after hours. Cheers boys.

Stilochris: I thought you error messages cleared before you left b/ham?

Yeah they did at first but then when i started it up again to leave, 'bing' ASR/ESP/Airbag and engine fault all came on. Still doing it this morning although the car seems ok. Just wheelspins a lot without TC!

is there any chance i could've knocked a fuse when removing the battery? would that cause the errors?

I have heard a rumour that opening and shutting the door a number of times resets the car or is this complete rubbish?

P.s. Cheers for the help with the kit Phil!

Air bag fault have you tried the unclip and clip back together with the connectors under the seats. Engine light one did you remember to reconnect the connector to the MAF on the induction tube that could be it some of the guys did forget and got a similar thing Ben did I know :D ASR is commonly associated with the fact that the car has been on the rolling road as the front wheels are rotating nd the rears are not so it confuses the ECU try disconnecting the battery for a while and see if the ECU resets other that that you may have to get it on examiner if the problems continue. Decks might come in on this one he is good at this electronics stuff and might suggest some thing else as well and for helping only glad to just make sure I get the first proto type turbo the other buggers got enough power now so I got to play catch up :p (y)

Re: Stilo Rolling Road shootout / Tuning day...

His MAF plug was connected phil, I think that I connected it. The best thing to try is to disconect the battery for 30 mins like you said. I emailed Jayson this morning as he asked to report on the progress of my induction, and here's his reply:

"Cheers mate, I must admit, i liked the cars a lot and what really impressed me was the way everyone helped each other with fitting.
In 16 years of doing this work ive never seen anything like it (yes ive seen people help each other but not to this degree)

Well done to you all i say !!!!

Jayson."

Does the new conical filter fit at the same place the standard air box was?

It looks that the sound of the new kit is awesome. :yum:
