10mm Socket anybody ???

I have just got back from the Stilo rolling road day. Imagine Stilo's sprawled all around a car park looking like they have been to a wreckers yard. Everybody attempting to fit GSR induction kits with ONE 10mm socket between everybody. One jack, air boxes, bottom trays everywhere and modification to the kits on the fly. You had to see it but I gather there are some photos coming up.

Chaos, absolute chaos but everybody getting stuck in. I know as I type this there are some of the guys still working on their cars with hundreds of miles ahead of them to get home.

The rolling road produces some spectacular results. The Abarths were knocking out anything between 170-185 BHP and getting reasonable torque figures (pre-kit). The 0-62's were around 9-9.4 seconds.

I put the JTD on and got 144bhp with 249lbs/ft and a 7.4 second 0-62. And that wasn't the best. DanTheMan will no doubt come on later and give you his figures so I wont steal his thunder, he's got a big smile on his face though.

Good luck to all those who were there today and I wish you all a safe journey home.

Re: 10mm Socket anybody ???

I did remember as I drove away that I'd got my socket set in the boot of the Mazda.. unfortunately, another engagement meant that I couldn't really turn back..

A bloody impressive result from your motor boz.. I'll post the video up shortly..

Re: 10mm Socket anybody ???

I did for a couple of them, I've got three on video.. I'll stick them raw on youtube..

Unfortunately, I had to go and help someone with an engine swap, otherwise I'd've hung around and got stuck in..

Updates as they come in, SchooweeNick just ran 208bhp after the induction/remap. Was sitting at 175 so great gain for the Abarth.

Rob (Stilo1.8) ran 158 I think from a 140 ish first run without map.

Are you telling me they're still there????

Re: 10mm Socket anybody ???

The last one..

All of them on my N90 and uploaded to photobucket, so sorry if the quality isn't great..

Re: Stilo Rolling Road shootout / Tuning day...

Just got back, and WELL worth the money!!!!
:D :D :D :D :D :D smiles all the way home, it took roughly 80 miles for the ECU to catch up with the improved air flow, but when it did :p

What can i say. I really enjoyed today, and glad to have met you all. I put schoweenick's car back together for him, so hopefully it will not fall apart on the way back :(

Anybody get a pic of my car on the rollers? If so could you mail it to me.

Re: Stilo Rolling Road shootout / Tuning day...

What was the average gain for the Abarth with the induction only, any body did that mod only?

Re: Stilo Rolling Road shootout / Tuning day...

No one did Athos all the guys had the full house yes I can remember fitting the twin cone filters to the hoses and attaching the brackets I had made for them I only helped on the one car [Anthonys] fitting the kit but helped on most of the others one way or another I love having a spanner in my hands :D induction on its own though will see a good return Carcrazy is going back again to have the iduction done he only had the mapping done and now wants the induction also :) most of the 2.4s now have 204/205bhp

That's a pretty decent HPs, oh I wish I could do it, but been so fare away it's imposible. :(
And with the real small number of Stilos in Mexico, it will take some time for some tunner to develop interest. :(
