General GSR induction kits - a word of warning...

I shouldn;t have mentioned the product as its taken peoples eye off the ball here. Whats being questioned here is the customer service values and the business ethics, not the product.
I'm stating the simplicity of the product as it highlights the fact that the problem is with poor service and communication.

Going back to the original post:

Stated 1 week to delivery at point of order
Took payment in good faith.
No delivery after over 1 month.
No communication after the point of payment.

And apparently this is normal? No its not, Its terrible! All i can think is that some of you on here must be mates with the guy, and understandably want to stick up for him as getting some stick - but to the rest of us it's a business just like any other and gets judged by the same criteria.

I have nver met or spoke to peter more than just on various forums. In fact I had a brief arguement with him and Dave the other week:p

All I'm saying is this is just the GSR way. There really isn't anything more I can say.

Again you are missing the point. you say everyone will be singing their praises but they already do.....

I bring you back to my point earlier....If you can get away with it then why wouldn't you? I can get away with spending 90% of my working day on FF and I do.

Ferrari can get away with charging thousands of pounds for cars and parts. Peter can get away with making people wait for his products.
QUOTE]

Mike - I can't really simplify my original point any further - its not the product, the price, or the wait, its the way he's doing business and his values. This point is probably going to miss you, going on the above quote - I wouldn't want to "get away with it", I would want to make sure every customer got proper service and have the manners to communicate - guess this just comes down to values. Ferrari can charge whatever they want, so can GSR, but both have an ethical responsibility to have customer service values once they take money from people.

This part of the forum is for centos, but everytime this GSR/peter is mention all these dick sucker seems to dive on.

Mate i got to agree, if he STATED 1 week delivery then you are entilited a message or some sort if there is delay.

Whats a dick sucker .. is that anything like brown noser..

thanks for the support Ming - It's just common courtesy IMO to keep your customers informed.

Well someones ears must have been burning as the kit arrived just now - no exquisite hand carved ivory parts though, just a cheap off-the-shelf cone filter, an 899cc bobbin, two jubilee clips and a formed pipe (which i imagine flows absolutely beautifully ;0)

There's no fitting instructions and obviously no apology note.

Can anyone advise on fitting this mystical object? Surely this lot doesn't just hang in the engine bay attached only at the bobbin like a big floppy elephants willy? am i missing a fixing bracket or something for the other end? Also what do i attach to the brass tube on the bobbin? Must be a breather or something?

cheers folks, dan

was being serious about the pipe though - sure it will flow beautifully.

Are you fellas all upset because i thanked Ming for the support?

I'm sure you're all nice folk, and not what he called you ;-) I was thanking him for supporting my views on customer service.

Anyway no offence intended.

peace,d

not you mate - are you a GSR boy?

Mike and Tim got a bit upset just above...

two clear camps here?!!

Seriously though, if anyones got any fitting tips, much appreciated.

With this cold snap i should be uncatchable!

all the best for christmas folks, dan
