His customer service is as bad as it was years ago when i tried to get one of the first mpi sei kit's......no communication, arranged to meet, never turned up, wasting my evening, never had any response from him despite calls and PM's. AFter that I gave up on GSR.

Typically you say something like that and the thread gets eddited or moderated, suprised this slagging is lasting so long, but it's certainly no suprise to me. I have never contempleted a GSR product since.

And no I am not a GSR fan boy I have a Focus kit on my car and have had many "discussionS" on ths forum about me saying i think its better than the GSR.....

he never made out it was crap ?? and tbh, seeing as though GSR are heavily promoted via this forum then why the hell out not post a thread highlighting the shocking customer service?

Unfortunately, that's very similar to the experience I had. Tried to contact Peter a few years ago wanting more than just an induction kit. I was trying to spend what I saw as a good sum of money. I was ignored. Others (who were in regular contact with Peter) asked him on my behalf. Got nowhere. So my money went elsewhere.
 
thanks for the support Ming - It's just common courtesy IMO to keep your customers informed.

Well someones ears must have been burning as the kit arrived just now - no exquisite hand carved ivory parts though, just a cheap off-the-shelf cone filter, an 899cc bobbin, two jubilee clips and a formed pipe (which i imagine flows absolutely beautifully ;0)

There's no fitting instructions and obviously no apology note.

Can anyone advise on fitting this mystical object? Surely this lot doesn't just hang in the engine bay attached only at the bobbin like a big floppy elephants willy? am i missing a fixing bracket or something for the other end? Also what do i attach to the brass tube on the bobbin? Must be a breather or something?

for someone who seems to keep going on about business ethics and other crap you keep coming back to slate the product befor youv even got a wiff of it..... no fitting instructions apology note or fitting bracket? how would you know if u havent recived the product? (n) obviously just started this thread to slag gsr.

obviously youv had some issues reciving the thing, and if your not prepared to go collect it then dont cry like a little bitch when it doesnt arrive streight away. as for "how hard could it be...." you obviously have no clue at all as to what your talking about. once wrapped evenly around what ever jig he has. the inductions go into a oven to cure. not sure as to exactly how long but i asume it takes longer then 5 mins. and depending how long, how many jigs he has and how big the oven is obviously results in how many inductions can be made in a day.

but that still don't excuse telling some one a week then not saying to them it will be late. a lot of people know it takes for every to get a kit, but you cant blame them that don't for wondering whats going on
 
Hmm, To reflect on this post

GSR experience......Poor customer service and lengthy delivery times? yey, ill put my name down for that one!

End of the day the product was late and missing fitting instructions, (if they were to be included) in that respect the original poster, he has every right to complain and make a negative comment about the service received.

There looks to be a lot of pro GSR people here which is great, What I hate to see however is people being genuinely pretty nasty to a poor chap who is indeed being slated because he expressed a negitive thought about a product they seem to love.

You need to grow up a tiny bit and accept that other people may have opinions that differ, right or wrong, negitive or possative

Yeah, i am anti GSR and for good reasons. (Like my pair of Alfa V6 cylinder heads he screwed up!!)

Ok then,

Hoffman dicks people around constantly, takes their money, does not handle returns, flames people on the forum, doesnt pay as a trader and blatantly trades.

But, despite all this, his praises are constantly sung from moderators.

I admit that some of their views seem to be changing, but only within this thread.

Can you give me a good reason why moderators would allow this behaviour and take such a biased view of his actions?

Read back a bit Jetstream - i received it this afternoon then added that comment.

cheers for the support all you nice reasonable folk - all i've stated is fact here and i thought it was the decent thing to do to relay my experience to other cento folk, so they can make an informed decision about GSR.

As has been said it has been this way for years this operation and he makes a good product, the results are there and have been proven, maybe things are said backstage about the way things are conducted i dont know, but pete gets business from here and a lot of other forums and people join the forum because he is here, that can result in more donations, hits etc

What doesnt impress me is ludicrous comments that 'backhanders are taking place' when clearly they arent, you have no proof that occurs and you just look like a complete c*nt, one mod was seething with your comments and was quick to shoot you down (quite right too) im pretty sure if others had been around too im sure more wouldnt have been impressed with these comments

I remember your arguement you had with pete on a thread a bit back, i think that perhaps your comments are a bit more personal and you are out to do more damage to his reputation than what others are

normally we get threads slating the product, if FF rules are broken in these threads they will get moderated same as any other product.

But mods have never denied that it will take people ages to get a kit delivered, its always been the same only thing that has changed is he used to send the kits out before asking for the money so people didn't moan so much, but then there was too many people either ordering kits and not collecting them, or some who got the kits then never paid.

atm the amount of people who ripped off gsr and them who have paid and still waiting kits is about the same, maybe a few more on the side off ripped off gsr
