i get that way when some know-nothing, loud mouth slag keyboard warrior chimp makes claims that he can't back up about me, and refuses to apologise like a man when he's confronted.... fair enough?
I think i've said everything i needed to say ages ago so i'm easy either way. Does seem like a very lively thread though going by the number of replies and views, so why not let it run - seems there is a real issue here so maybe its good to let it run for a bit?
ive left a note for the section mod to see, there is some good info in it that people should be aware of when wanting a kit, ie that it can take ages, and they dont come with instructions.
But there seems to now be more of my dad is bigger than your dad posts coming into it and distracting from what was needed.
maybe section mod will lock then clean an reopen, i'll leave it up to them

I'll be the first to say what a great product it is if it lives up to the hype, but my views on the company will remain the same, until I am captured and re-programmed of course and return on here as an irate GSRbot ;-)

needs to be a section dedicated to slagging gsr off on the forum tbh.. amusing to read these threads are as ever.. getting bit old now tho, handbags away!
Must say I'm tired of them. And there I was the other day saying how nice this section was compared to the 500 one............:bang:
May be they should just say the kit could take more than a month rather than promising people it will be there for in a week like this case.

Yeah i must say i never meant to start a slagging match - i never slagged anyone despite getting called allsorts from the various angry people who joined in to vigorously and misguidedly defend the GSR product when i was talking purely about the ethics/service all along and never the product (not even having one until yesterday, I couldn't comment until then)
Speaking objectively again, it does seem that there's many more anti-GSR than pro-GSR people on this forum, and some anti's are obviously experts. I don't know where the offensive folk came from but they seem to have some vested interest/allegence to GSR, and have a noticably different attitude to what i normally find on here - so I apologise to all nice Cento folk for attracting them in here, and thanks for your support. Respect.
To all those people who were uneccesarily rude - although you're on a forum, maybe consider what you want to say and how you speak to people before peppering your posts with childish insults. You can make your point more effectively when calm - rudeness/agression reflects badly on you and people are quietly making assumptions about you without firing back as they have more decorum. I go on hip-hop forums very occasionally when i'm feeling glum, purely to read and quietly laugh at little boys acting like thugs when they wouldn't say boo to a goose in a real confrontation. Save your anger up for when its really needed in real life.
My objective advice would be, if you're willing to wait indefinitely for your kit after purchase, then pay up and write it off, hopefully you'll get a nice surprise somewhere down the line. I ordered and paid for mine 11/11/09 and received it 16/12/09 - that's 5 weeks to the day, not the week I was advised and i really persisted by all available channels to get my kit, using much time and causing great frustration.

also not great to be seen calling names, even though you are quite rightly defending yourself and other mods against a ridiculous accusation.
This thread sums up to my why this is such a good forum, yet also sums up why i rarely use it or post these days. people raising real issues, how to solve them etc, brilliant. people crawling out of the woodwork from other sections of the forum jumping into arguments for the sake of it, getting personal, making accusations they can't prove etc...drives me crazy.
Fwiw, I feel the mods do reccomend gsr because in THEIR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, THEY FEEL ITS THE BEST PRODUCT. no other reason, sorry to dissapoint
. I have a gsr kit for my cinq, highly reccomend it as a kit. however, my advice to anyone wanting a gsr is to buy one second hand. not only do you get a good kit, a good bit cheaper, you also avoid the frankly appaling customer service GSR offer.
I think there are probably more pro GSR (products) people on here than anti. Among the antis you can always pick out GSR wannabees.

You know Peter is very typical to a lot of small specialists out there in that there products prove more popular than they anticipate and they don't want to risk expanding the business to meet the limited demands of a small specialist market.
I'm a serial modifier of cars and I have had loads of similar experiences with many different companies and have had to wait many months for particular parts in the past (although I have to say I personally had no issues with Peter)
We all expect instant service these days and when you deal with a one man bands and people who are primarily engineers and enthusiasts not marketing and customer service people these things happen. I'm not defending anyone here or saying it is right, all it takes is an email and open honesty to keep people happy but in my experience you just have to mange your expectations when dealing with these sort of companies.

The guy has an argument with Pete on the forum on a previous GSR problem thread, doesnt barely post for months (maybe because they didnt win or was flamed during the arguement?) then when another GSR problem thread pops up he posts ludicrous statements adding nothing to the thread only enflaming the situation. Trolling maybe?

why should i? signwerx wants to make a public accusation at me, i'll meet it robustly, and head on, you don't like it? i suggest you scroll on past my posts, because i for one do not take my integrity being questioned lightly. he's been given every chance to apologise and despite coming back on site, has not done so, where does that leave a coward? less than worthy of any respect in my eyes.

as i said, you are correct to defend yourself and other mods integrity in a robust fashion. There are other ways of arguing than stooping to the level of signwerx and descend it into name calling. You band about terms like keyboard warrior etc, whilst its probably a fair enough point, dragging an argument into name calling makes you no better than them.
Signwerx should appologise for making hollow allegations, theres no question of that. If they don't appologise publicly (only fair as its a public allegation) then your a mod, i presume with the ability to swing the ban hammer. if signwerx won't retract his allegation, making allegations against the mods and therefore the forum of a serious nature without proof of any sort is worthy of action in the form of a ban.
Perhaps he would prefer a 'disrespecting the site staff' infraction?
